Feed Your Soul with Silence and Solitude We made it through January, dear friends! And let’s be honest, the month of February really starts the year off. The January blahs are going, and we are a month closer to spring and the warm sunshine that comes with it. And speaking of sunshine, we saw the…
Do you trust God? Seriously, do you trust God? I know that is a weird question to start this blog post off with, but it’s a question that I have been struggling with. Because I have realized that there are times when I don’t trust God. Let Go and Let God The phrase “let go…
Beat the January Blahs by Being a Light! It’s hard to believe that it will soon be a month since I heard my father’s voice. Even harder to believe that it will soon be 11 years since I heard my mother’s voice. I dread the month of January. We seldom see the sun. The darkness…
The Joy of the Lord is My Strength! Last week, I blogged about how 2019 ended for my family. Just a few short weeks apart, the death of my brother and father shook us to the core, but we are still standing. But not on our own, mind you. Our Savior is holding us up.…
I Am Still Standing! Oh, 2019! You thought you got the best of me. You thought you could bring me down. And just when I thought we were almost out of this valley of sorrows, you took one final blow to try to knock me off my feet. But guess what? I’m still standing. “Even…
“O come, O come, Emmanuel And ransom captive Israel That mourns in lonely exile here Until the Son of God appear. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel.” “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel,” isn’t the most upbeat, cheerful song of the Christmas season. Its haunting melody reminds us of the first advent and…
*Tomorrow, June 1, is the 2nd anniversary of my younger son’s surgery. I wrote this devotion last year on the first anniversary but didn’t feel called to share it at that time. Lessons from a Whitewashed Hospital Room “Mom, I can’t do this anymore!” my son moaned with immense pain. Standing by his hospital bed…
*Today, we conclude the “I AM” blog series. For the last two months, we have focused on the seven “I AM” statements that Jesus spoke throughout the Gospel of John. If you haven’t read that book of the Bible from the beginning to the end, I encourage you to read it and see just how…
As we close out the “You Are” series, I pray that you know who you are in the eyes of God! You are: Loved Redeemed Free Forgiven and Chosen! Yes, dear friends, the Lord chose you! He loves you, and He has chosen you to further His kingdom. You Are Chosen The ESV…
She had gotten up early that Sunday morning. Her heart was heavy, and her sorrow was profound. Her Rabonni (teacher) was dead. He suffered the most extreme execution known at the time. She was part of the small group of followers that stayed with Him through it all. His disciples, except John, had abandoned Him.…

Living boldly for Jesus can become evident in various ways in our daily lives. It means not conforming to the patterns of this world (Romans 12:2) but allowing our actions, words, and attitudes to reflect the love, grace, and truth of our Savior. It means being unapologetic about our faith, even when it may be met with resistance or ridicule.
Will you live boldly today?
