Till Death Do Us Part – 19 Years of Marriage

By Missy Eversole /

On Monday, Craig and I will be celebrating 19 years of blissful matrimony. I am obviously using the term “blissful” sarcastically. We are from two different backgrounds.  I am a city girl who uses Saturday’s to relax and enjoy that day. He’s a farmer who thinks every Saturday needs to be filled with work from…

Book Review: “Keep Showing Up” by Karen Ehman

By Missy Eversole /

For years, I have often said that December was our families busiest month. Holiday shopping, decorating, addressing Christmas cards and preparing baked goodies, filled most of our (or should I say, my) days. I’m now going to state that I was, in fact, wrong. December is not our busiest month. It’s May. Track and field,…

My Beloved is Mine, and I Am His Last year, I participated in Proverbs 31’s First 5 study of Song of Solomon. This beautiful love story focuses not only on the love between a man and a woman but also it’s a clear reminder that God created romance for His children to be expressed fully,…

Thankful for Family Memories – Camping This past weekend was bittersweet for my family and me. After a few weeks of praying and family meetings, we decided to sell our camper and give up our amazing spot at a beautiful campground. The memories of all the fun we had while camping came flooding back to…

The Dreaded “S” Word – Submit

By Missy Eversole /

“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.”  Ephesians 5:22 ESV Whenever this verse comes up in a sermon, my husband always gives me a mischievous smile and I, in turn, just roll my eyes at him. This is the verse that causes women everywhere to groan at the thought of submitting themselves to their…

He Will Fight for You!

As soon as I rolled over, I knew something was wrong that Tuesday morning. The clock read 4:30 am, and it was moving in a circle. I closed my eyes and went back to sleep, hoping and praying that it was just extreme exhaustion. By 7:00 am, I knew that it wasn’t. The dizziness and…

Is it hard for you to ask for help?

Friend, asking for help is 👇

Strong.
Wise.
Brave.
A gift to future you.

It’s key as parents that we role model humility and not be ashamed to ask for help, whether that’s asking God for help, a spouse, friends, or a teacher. When we are openly humble, our children will learn to see asking for help as something that helps us become stronger versions of ourselves.

If your college-bound child is struggling, encourage them to search out tutoring centers and writing labs, reminding them that seeking help is a sign of strength. You can even share a time YOU asked for academic help and were so glad you did! ✏️ 📚 ✍️

To listen to this VERY practical episode on helping your kids stay grounded in faith while away at college, head to Apple or Spotify!

2020 was a crazy year.🙏

One for the books, for sure.

True to His character, even amongst the hard that year, God proved Himself to be a “Romans 8:28 God”. He brought good out of the struggle and brought glory to His name. 👏

In this week’s podcast episode, my guest, Joan C. Benson, shares tidbits from her interviews with young people during COVID-19. Her insights reveal how strong faith is pivotal in overcoming life's toughest challenges. We pray this episode encourages anyone who is weary !

Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
