Good Bye Summer, Hello School Year!

By Missy Eversole /
,

Yesterday was the first day of school for our sons. Yesterday was also the first time in 11 years that I didn’t drive them to school, take photos of them in front of the school,  and visit with other moms. Yesterday, our 16-year-old son drove himself and his brother to school. Yesterday, after they…

Being Called to Write – She Speaks 2018 Conference

By Missy Eversole /

“I am NOT going to write!” It was the Saturday morning of this past Mother’s Day weekend. The minute I woke up, writing was on my mind – I groaned. There was no denying what the Lord was telling me: He was I calling me write. The whispers of writing had been there for years…

Do Not Be Anxious

By Missy Eversole /

As a young mom, I was told over and over again by veteran moms to, “Enjoy this time that you have with your sons, in a blink of an eye, they will be in high school!” I would smile at those moms and nodded in agreement. All the while, in my mind,  I was rolling…

He Will Fight for You!

As soon as I rolled over, I knew something was wrong that Tuesday morning. The clock read 4:30 am, and it was moving in a circle. I closed my eyes and went back to sleep, hoping and praying that it was just extreme exhaustion. By 7:00 am, I knew that it wasn’t. The dizziness and…

Taste and See!

Taste and See He shifted from the right to the left and then back again. Should he sit, or should he stand? If he sat down, he wouldn’t look so eager, but if he stood, he would be able to reach his destination faster. His eyes were focused so intently on his prize that the…

Are you familiar with these lyrics to a popular song about not building your house on sandy land? 🎵

It is from a very popular VBS and Sunday School song. The inspiration for this song is from the teaching illustration Jesus used in Matthew 7:24-27. In that passage, Jesus is says you are wise to hear His words and then do what they say. You are just as wise as someone who builds their house on a firm foundation instead of something unstable and unreliable like sand.

My podcast guest this week, Cheryl Schuermann, is sharing with us how to build a solid spiritual foundation for our own lives and our children.

Are you a parent? Then, you will enjoy this episode and learn so much from Cheryl’s insights on this topic! 👍🏻

It’s HARD to follow Jesus in a world that doesn’t. 🙏

And it’s equally difficult to try and instill faith into children who face contradicting teaching to what they learn at home.

Cheryl Schuermann (author of a new devo book!) joins the podcast this week to chat with us about the significance of instilling truth and faith in our children. Together, we explore the challenges of maintaining faith in a world filled with misleading teachings and emphasize the importance of standing up for truth, even if it’s not popular.

Ready to learn the keys to teaching your kids about God’s truth? Head to the link in my IG bio for links to start listening to episode 35 of the Bold Faith Now Podcast! 🎙️

PS- In Romans 12 we are told not conform to the patterns and habits of this world. Jesus wouldn’t tell us to do this if it were not possible. Be encouraged! We CAN live a life set apart from the world! ✝️

Friends, what can you do today to cultivate a bold faith that shines brightly for Jesus in a world of challenges and uncertainties?

For me, it's remembering the Truth when the world and the enemy try to get me to conform to its standards.

Have you ever faced something tragic?

Perhaps lost a loved one or suffered a life-altering injury or sickness?

When these things happen, it is essential that we run TOWARD God instead of pushing Him away. Spending time with Him allows us to find God’s grace in life’s darkest moments He grants us the supernatural ability to move forward with strength and resilience.

On the latest episode of Bold Faith Now Podcast, my guest, Sandra Julian Barker, shares how she found peace and strength in the face of unimaginable circumstances and how God's guidance led her toward serving others in unexpected ways. 🙏
