Sing Praises to the Lord – Psalm 7:17

By Missy Eversole /

Sing Praises to the Lord – Psalm 7:17 Happy Friday! We are experiencing our first measurable snowfall of the season! It’s absolutely beautiful out! I have a love/dislike relationship with snow. I love how the gently falling snow covers the dull-colored landscape. I dislike driving in it and  I really dislike that my 16-year-old son…

God’s Steadfast Love Endures Forever – 1 Chronicles 16:34

By Missy Eversole /

God’s Steadfast Love Endures Forever – 1 Chronicles 16:34 Happy November! I love this time of the year because this month brings family, food, friends, and football together! With Thanksgiving coming up in less than three weeks (say what?!?), it seems appropriate to reflect on what we are truly thankful for. And boy, do we…

Lukewarm vs White-Hot

By Missy Eversole /

Lukewarm vs White-Hot Over the past month, I have shared my testimony and wrote about the people who have played a significant part in my walk with Christ. I always call myself a late-bloomer when describing this faith journey that I am on. While I was baptized at the age of 29, my faith journey did…

Review of “Breathe” by Priscilla Shirer

By Missy Eversole /

Review of “Breathe” by Priscilla Shirer Happy Friday friends! My family and I are currently enjoying a few days off from work and school. Aside from parent/teacher conferences and getting some writing assignments completed for submission, I am using some of my time just to breathe and relax. And by relaxing, I mean watching Christmas…

Refreshing Our Souls with Silence and Solitude

By Missy Eversole /

Refreshing Our Souls with Silence and Solitude With only a few more days of October left, we will soon be facing the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Before the chaos begins, now is a perfect time to refresh our souls. The definition of refresh is: verb (used with object) to provide new vigor and energy by rest, food, etc. (often used reflexively). to stimulate (the memory). to make fresh again; reinvigorate or cheer (a person, the mind, spirits, etc.). Refreshing our…

“Only Jesus” by Casting Crowns

Only Jesus Happy Friday my friends! Yesterday, I heard the new Casting Crowns song on my local Christian music station, WCIC, and I wanted to share it with you.   I have to admit, this song brought tears me to tears.  Yes, I want to leave a legacy for my future generations, but the most…

Lessons that I Have Learned from My Children

Lessons that I Have Learned from My Children Being the only female in a house full of males (including the dog!) can be interesting at times. Aside from the strange smells, and the unusual sounds coming from them, life with my male tribe is something that I would not trade for all the money in the world.…

Digging into Our Roots – Colossians 2:6-7

By Missy Eversole /

Happy Friday, sweet friends! True to Illinois fashion, our state went from summer to winter in a little over 48 hours. There is a chance for light snow (that is not a typo!) this morning! While talking with a co-worker yesterday, it suddenly dawned on us; this weather is nothing compared to the devastation that the…

The Legacy of a Faithful Grandparent

By Missy Eversole /

The Legacy of a Faithful Grandparent Last week, I began a four-week online class on writing my memoir. A few days before it started,  I questioned myself as to why I had enrolled in this class.  I’m just a wife and mom, who would want to read my memoir? With the Holy Spirit guiding me…

Life’s too precious to live restless and unfulfilled. That stirring in your soul - that quiet ache reminding you there’s more to life than going through the motions - isn’t a distraction; it’s divine direction. You long to live with intention and deepen your faith, yet with the constant pull of daily demands, it’s hard to know where to begin. This book is a doorway into a message God has been faithfully shaping for this exact season. One built to meet women in real life, with real questions, and seeking real faith.

Living boldly for Jesus can become evident in various ways in our daily lives. It means not conforming to the patterns of this world (Romans 12:2) but allowing our actions, words, and attitudes to reflect the love, grace, and truth of our Savior. It means being unapologetic about our faith, even when it may be met with resistance or ridicule.

Will you live boldly today?
