“Mary, Did You Know?” Isaiah 7:14

By Missy Eversole /

“Mary, Did You Know?” Isaiah 7:14 A favorite Christmas song of mine is, “Mary, Did You Know?” That last line in the first chorus gets me every time I hear it. “This child that you’ve delivered will soon deliver you.” Jesus, the Son of God, delivered His people from not only the sins of the…

Old Testament Prophecies, New Testament Fulfillments and The Savior of the World

By Missy Eversole /

Old Testament Prophecies, New Testament Fulfillments, and The Savior of the World I have always found Biblical prophecy intriguing and a little confusing. OK, maybe a lot confusing at times. However, by slowing down, studying the Word, and researching the meaning of the verse, I have found that I can begin to try and fully…

O Come, O Come Emmanuel – 1 John 5:11

By Missy Eversole /

O Come, O Come Emmanuel Throughout my childhood, one of my least favorite Christmas hymns was “O Come, O Come Emmanuel.”  It doesn’t have a catchy tune, and it certainly isn’t about getting presents or even Santa. It has a haunting melody and lyrics, and if you listen to it carefully, a desperate plea for…

A Month of Thankfulness – Thanksgiving Memories Then and Now

By Missy Eversole /

A Month of Thankfulness – Thanksgiving Memories Then and Now Thanksgiving Then I sat cross-crossed on the floor in front of our wooden console television in eager anticipation of what was to come. 🎄✨ Are you already exhausted from the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season?

I know exactly how you feel!

Let’s stop chasing the "perfect" Christmas and embrace what truly matters. I made a bold move a few years ago: I gave up baking. No Christmas cut-out cookies, no fudge, no M&M cookies. Why? Because I can’t bake! 😂 My boys didn’t care—they know every dessert I attempt ends up burned!

But guess what? Letting go of the unnecessary gave me time to focus on the sweetest gift of all—the baby in the manger. The One who left His heavenly throne, took on human form, and grew up to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life.

This year, let’s reclaim Christmas!

My free five-day devotional is available on my website now. I pray that it helps you focus on the season's true meaning.

Let’s savor the Savior this season!

Will you join me? Together, we’ll "Have a Merry Little Christ-Centered Christmas!" ❤️🙏
