On Monday, Craig and I will be celebrating 19 years of blissful matrimony. I am obviously using the term “blissful” sarcastically. We are from two different backgrounds. I am a city girl who uses Saturday’s to relax and enjoy that day. He’s a farmer who thinks every Saturday needs to be filled with work from…
Read MoreFor years, I have often said that December was our families busiest month. Holiday shopping, decorating, addressing Christmas cards and preparing baked goodies, filled most of our (or should I say, my) days. I’m now going to state that I was, in fact, wrong. December is not our busiest month. It’s May. Track and field,…

After a few weeks of praying and family meetings, we decided to sell our camper and give up our amazing spot at a beautiful campground. The memories of all the fun we had while camping came flooding back to…

This is the verse that causes women everywhere to groan at the thought of submitting themselves to their…

Christmas is a gentle reminder that God came near.
Emmanuel—God with us.
Today and always.
Merry Christmas!
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

Today, we light the Christ Candle at the center of the Advent wreath, the center of our hope, and the center of our lives.
Throughout Advent, we’ve waited…
for Hope,
for Peace,
for Joy,
for Love.
And today we remember the One who is all of these.
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11 (ESV)
The Christ Candle shines brightly because the Light of the World has come.
Jesus is not distant, not silent, and not unreachable.
Jesus is Emmanuel — God with us.
No matter what this year has held, no matter what emotions the holidays bring, Jesus steps into our story with a love that doesn’t flicker or fade.
May His light fill your home and your heart, and remind you that you are loved by the Savior who stepped down from His throne for you and for me.
Merry Christmas, sweet friend. He is here!

I’m excited to share something new with you for 2026!
Each month, I’ll be offering a free Bold Faith Scripture Journal—a simple Scripture journaling resource created to help you slow down, spend time in God’s Word, and live with bold faith in everyday life.
In seasons when life feels busy, loud, or uncertain, we don’t need more information.
We need space to sit with God’s Word and let it shape our hearts.
January’s theme is Renewal. It’s an invitation to begin the year refreshed, grounded, and anchored in Truth.
You can download the January Scripture Journal at https://missyeversole.com/resources/
Let’s start the year rooted in the Word—one verse at a time.

The soft glow of the Christmas tree lights always reminds me of this truth:
Jesus is the Light who never dims, even when life feels heavy.
If Christmas brings up mixed emotions for you — grief, joy, longing, or all of the above- I hope this week’s episode encourages your heart.
We’re diving into Scripture, sharing memories (yes… the 80s Cabbage Patch chaos!), and talking honestly about finding hope in hard seasons.
The new Christmas episode is up now! The Bold Faith Now podcast is on your favorite podcast app or at my website: www.missyeversole.com.

Week Four of Advent brings us to LOVE.
The love that came down to dwell among us. A love that is not distant, conditional, or fragile.
A love that chose a manger for you and for me.
“We love because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19 (ESV)
As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, may we rest in the truth that we are deeply known and deeply loved by the God who came near.
How have you experienced God’s love in this season? For me, it’s getting through the days where grief sneaks in, and memories of loved ones who are no longer with us fill my mind. God sees every tear and reminds me He is there, and I am not alone.

Why is slowing down so hard for us?
This week on the Bold Faith Now podcast, I’m joined by A.C. Seiple, a licensed counselor and author of "The Sacred Art of Slowing Down."
Together, we explore how God designed our bodies, minds, and souls to work together in His rhythm of peace. It’s a faith-filled conversation that invites us to step out of the rush, pay attention to what’s happening within us, and meet God in the quiet places we often overlook.
Listen to Episode 90 - The Peace God Offers in the Slow Moments today in your favorite podcast app or on my website at www.missyeversole.com.
