Verses to Pray for Your Student During Finals Week

Verses to Pray for Your Student During Finals Week

Happy Friday my friends! If your household is anything like ours, not only are you preparing for Christmas, but your high school children are preparing for finals! The tiredness and stress have overtaken my usually joyful children. I remind them daily to rely on the Lord and to just focus on one day at a time. Wise words that I need to take heart myself!

John 1:14 – Weekend Inspiration Verse

The Word became flesh. Jesus Christ, Lord of Lords and King of Kings, took on humanity for us, to save us. He didn’t have to do that. He could have sat on this heavenly throne and watched us suffer eternally, but He loves us so much that He wanted us to have eternal life with Him. Free from sin. Free from hurt and disease. Free from the evil that wrecks our daily lives. Graced abounds us through Jesus!

Verses to Pray During Finals Week – or End of the Semester

Whether your child is preparing for their high school finals or your elementary or middle school child is counting down the days until Christmas break let’s rally together and pray for them!

Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.”

Philippians 4:13

“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

Ephesians 2:8-10

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Psalm 90:17

“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
    and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands!”

What’s Coming Up Next Week

A new year brings new opportunities to dig into God’s Word! I will be sharing my favorite, life-changing Bible studies and a new morning routine that I will begin on January 1st. Friday’s “Weekend Inspiration” will focus on the first people on earth who heard of the Savior being born – the shepherds!
