A Love So Great that Christ Died for Us!
On Tuesday’s blog post, I wrote about “agape” love. Agape love is God’s unwavering, steadfast and enduring love for us. A love that is so powerful nothing could ever change it. In this dark world filled with sin, it’s encouraging to know that the love of God will never leave us.
Romans 5:8
Agape love and God’s plan for salvation go hand and hand. God’s plan for salvation began when Eve took that first bite of forbidden – the fall of man. The truth of the matter is that we are sinners, and we need a Savior.
Romans 5:8 states, “But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
God didn’t wait for us to perfect because we will never be. We are sinners, but God is righteous and just. Love motivated His plan of salvation for every one of us. A love so great that our Savior died for us.
My Challenge to You
Do you believe that God loves you? And if not, what lies are you believing that you aren’t loved?
I will admit that this lie creeps into my mind, especially after knowingly sinning.
“Why did I do that again? How can God love me when I mess up all the time?”
God does love me with agape love. He will never stop loving me, and He will never stop loving you!
Stop believing those lies and put your belief in the One who loves you!
