Every pursuit begins with a first step.
That first step is a step of faith. In fact, some may say that risk and faith have a lot in common.
The Bible says it this way about taking a step of faith. Hebrews 11:6 NIV “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Pursuing or seeking God starts with a step of faith and ends with a promise that God will bless those who pursue Him. Jesus already initiated this pursuit by taking the first step to us. The Bible says that “We love because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19 NIV). Consider how the love of Jesus motivated him to make a path for transformation and connection with him.

The culture around us may feel like a storm, but believers do not have to run away or hide.
In this week’s episode of the Bold Faith Now podcast, I’m talking with pastor, author, and Portland Trail Blazers chaplain Mike Tatlock about his book, "A Compelling Faith in a Compromising Culture."
Mike shares how we can remain deeply rooted in Christ, recognize the hidden altars competing for our devotion, and partner with the Holy Spirit as we engage the world around us.
One truth from our conversation has stayed with me:
“Christ in us is greater than the chaos around us.”
The darkness does not need more frightened Christians hiding from it. It needs believers who carry the light of Jesus directly into it.
Listen to this encouraging and challenging conversation wherever you listen to podcasts.

Did you enjoy this week`s podcast with our guest, Dr. Neil Shenvi ( )? I hope so! And here is some follow up info on his book in case you want more!
When woke ideology challenges biblical conviction, Christians need more than opinions―they need logic, grace, and truth.
In Post Woke, Neil Shenvi and Pat Sawyer help everyday Christians understand how ideas drawn from critical theory have shaped cultural conversations and practices that are in direct conflict with a Christian worldview. In a respectful yet unapologetic manner, this book equips you to address difficult topics with logic, compassion, and conviction.
Inside, you’ll learn to
recognize the woke ideas coming from different sources in your life
evaluate claims and reasoning errors around race, gender, and sexuality
talk with others about controversial issues with clarity and grace
move from critique to action by applying biblical truth in interactions with your community
Post Woke is a guide for practical action. Learn to respond to today’s cultural narratives with biblical truth, influence others for good, and point people toward the hope of the gospel.

Welcome Friends!
My name is Missy, and I love Jesus!
I am a Christ-follower, wife, mom, author, speaker, Colson Fellow, and host of the Bold Faith Now podcast. My heart is to encourage believers to live boldly for Jesus in a world that often tells us to stay quiet, blend in, or keep our faith tucked safely in the shadows.
Through writing, speaking, and podcasting, I help believers grow in bold faith, stand firm in truth, and view the world through a biblical worldview. Because following Jesus was never meant to be passive. It is a call to shine His light, speak truth with grace, and take the next obedient step.
My prayer is simple: to point others to Jesus, encourage bold faith, and remind believers that now is the time to live courageously for Him. Join the Bold Faith community and listen to the podcast for encouragement to live out your faith with conviction, clarity, and courage.
