Weekend Inspiration – “Breathe” by Priscilla Shirer

Happy Friday friends!

My family and I are currently enjoying a few days off from work and school. Aside from parent/teacher conferences and getting some writing assignments completed for submission, I am using some of my time just to breathe and relax.

And by relaxing, I mean watching Christmas movies on both Hallmark channels! Like thousands of loyal fans, I get giddy with excitement when those cheesy movies are on. Yes, they may follow the same plot; girl meets boy, they fall in love, a misunderstanding happens, they break up, and then they get back together within the last few minutes of the movie.

Here’s the thing though, they are are all feel good movies. No violence, language, politics or negativity in them. That is why I enjoy them so much! When we deal with so much negativity in our lives and on the news, it just so nice to enjoy the sappy Hallmark Christmas movies from time to time (or every night!)

Just Breathe

On Tuesday’s post, I blogged about silence and solitude, and I wanted to let you know about an online Bible study that would fit wonderfully into this theme. The Proverbs 31 team is facilitating “Breathe” by Priscilla Shirer from November 12 to December 7. I received my book yesterday, and it’s going to be the perfect study to participate in to prepare us for the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Priscilla is one of my favorite Bible study teachers, and her teachings are so impactful to me. Her “Armor of God” study is one that I refer back to it time and time again.

I would love for you to join me as we “make room for the Sabbath.” To sign up, please  visit https://proverbs31.org/study/online-bible-studies/breathe#registration

After signing up, please email me to let me know and we can encourage one another!

Have a wonderful weekend!
