As February progresses, the days are getting longer, the snow is melting, and while I know that we may have few more snow showers here and there, there is a relief knowing that spring is so close!
In continuing with the blog theme of love, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 is one of the most well-known verses about love.
The Apostle Paul knew the exact words to say about love, and he starts right off the bat with the one thing that I struggle with the most – patience. My husband struggles with it, and we’ve passed that negative quality down to the boys. We are not a patient family!
Every one of us deals with all of the negativity that Paul lists. We are human. We are not perfect.
Jesus was perfect, and He had a love for others, patience with others and was kind to others.
I have a note in my Bible to replace “love” with “Jesus” and “it” with “Him.”
“Jesus is patient and kind; Jesus does not envy or boast; He is not arrogant or rude. He does not insist on His own way; He is not irritable or resentful; He does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Jesus bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Jesus never ends.”
Jesus never ends.
Love never ends.
Hold on to Jesus, dear friends! Although we will never be perfect; by gripping Him tightly, we can start to change our attitude and negative thoughts to be more in line with Christ.
Have a blessed weekend friends
