Five Bible Verses to Pray to Remind You to Have an Attitude of Gratitude

Two weeks from today, we will be sitting down for a feast of turkey, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and all the other fixings that go along with the traditional Thanksgiving meal.

Family, food, and football. That is what makes up our Thanksgiving, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

Last week, I blogged about having an “Attitude of Gratitude.” This week we will focus on some verses to pray when we need to change our negative attitudes to an attitude of gratitude.

And boy, do I need these verses now more than ever! This has been trying a week for me, and truth be told, my attitude is not the best. Thankfully, during my quiet time this week, I was able to reflect on these verses and remember all that God has done for me. From answered prayers to giving me peace and calmness, the Lord is by my side, and yours, every minute of the day.

I pray that these verses will also help you have an “Attitude of Gratitude!”

An Attitude of Gratitude Prayer Verses

Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Psalm 106:1 “Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Philippians 4:6-7  “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

1 Chronicles 16:34 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!”

1 Chronicles 16:34 has long been one of my favorites. 🙂
