Darkness Will Be Defeated!

By Missy Eversole /

What…

Dear Mom, You’ve been with Jesus for 10 years now…

By Missy Eversole /

Dear Mom, It’s been ten years since I’ve heard your voice. Ten years since your grandsons listened to you sing that silly “Bushel and a Peck” song. Ten years of wanting to pick up the phone when the boys hit a milestone, or when parenting got so tough that I just needed to get advice…

Be Still and Know – Psalm 46:10

By Missy Eversole /

Be Still and Know I am sure that you have seen the popular verse of Psalm 46:10 on t-shirts, pens, and Bible covers. If an item can be monogrammed or decorated, this verse is on it. It’s a comforting verse that we can cling to it in our darkest times, whether we are going through a personal…

Persistent mama bird update:

We now have four eggs in the nest in our front door wreath.

Isn’t it amazing how God created His birds to build the most beautiful nests to lay eggs?

God’s beautiful creation is all around us. Take a minute today to thank Him for the wonder around you!

Fun Fact Friday

In 2023, I became a commissioned Colson Fellow, and this year, I serve on the leadership team for the online Central cohort.

What is a Colson Fellow?

The Colson Fellows website says it best:
“You believe in Jesus, but your everyday existence doesn’t look all that different from the way your non-Christian neighbors live, and you wonder if your life even matters. Colson Fellows are a diverse community of discerning Christ-followers who know that feeling. Most of our lives may look ordinary, but as C.S. Lewis reminds us, “There are no ordinary people.” Not when we are each made in God’s Image for an eternal destiny and called to live an earthly mission that reveals His Kingdom. Join us for a ten-month exploration of the Christian worldview and enter a dynamic and lifelong fellowship of believers committed to living courageously and faithfully—in the ordinary and extraordinary circumstances of these times.”

Applications are open for 2024-2025, and online options are available if you don’t have a cohort close to you.

If you have any questions, please let me know!
